Seward is honored for Community Achievement and as one of three
Show Case Communities by Governor Dave Heineman April 9 at the state capitol.
The Showcase Community designation recognizes communities in conjunction with the observance of Community Development Week and honors communities that have demonstrated exceptional capacity during the past 10 years. Seward was selected by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
A beautiful drive through the “Bohemian Alps”
Seward, Nebraska, population approximately 6,700, is the county seat of Seward County. Located in Southeastern Nebraska, Seward is served by U.S. Highway 34 and Nebraska Highway 15. Interstate 80 is five miles south of Seward. Seward is 25 miles west of Lincoln and 82 miles southwest of Omaha, Nebraska.
